Making Wishes Come True

Updated: Nov 4, 2022

A couple of months ago, we were contacted by the Make A Wish Foundation to see if we could help them fulfIl the wish of a 14 year old girl currently undergoing some pretty serious treatment for cancer, whose dearest wish was to have her very own Chihuahua.

We were delighted to be able to help. Delivery had to wait a bit, while Karoraina was undergoing her latest round of treatment in Auckland but finally, a couple of weeks ago, little Johnny flew to the North Island, was collected by a Make A Wish Foundation volunteer who then delivered Johnny to his delighted new owner.

We've just heard back from Karoraina’s dad, who tells us that Johnny has settled in to the family really well and how he follows Karoraina around the house, never straying far from her side.

We would also like to thank Miranda from ProPlan for sending a special puppy pack for Johnny and his new family, Anna from the Make a Wish Foundation for working so hard to make this happen and StarPet Travel for delivering him safely to the North Island and his fabulous new home.

We wish Karoraina and her family all the best as she continues with her treatment and that Johnny does his job as her Chief Companion and Face Kisser, which we are sure will expidite her recovery because the love of a Chihuahua when you are feeling down is a wonderful thing and their kisses are everything.
