2 Fabulous In Show wins for Team Kitaco at CKA

Great day at the CKA Open Shows on Saturday. Ben (NZ CH Kitaco Ben de la Creme), Ava (NZ CH Kitaco Smashed Avacado) and Narci (GR CH, GR JNR CH, NZ CH Mystic Legion Narcissus) lined up for Team Kitaco and did amazingly well.

Team Kitaco had no trouble cleaning up all the breed wins (only Chihuahuas entered, sadly) but that didn't matter once they progressed to the Group judging. In Show 1, under NZ judge, Angela Murray, Ava took Best of Group and Best NZ Bred of Group and in Show 2, under NZ judge, Paul Goodwill, Ben took the Best of Group and Best Junior of Group, Even Narci, who seems to be having a blast since coming out of retirement, managed Best Open in Group in both shows.

Then came the In Show judging where Ava thrilled us by taking Best NZ Bred in Show for Show 1 and Ben - in a line-up that included the Show 1, Best in Show winner - topped off a perfect day by taking Best Junior in Show!

Don't have words for how proud we are of these guys who are proving they can hold their own in a strong All Breeds competition.

And what a haul of prizes! Thanks to the other winners who got together to play swapsies after the show with the food prizes so the ProPlan Small and Mini food went home with the Chihuahuas and the Proplan Large Adult food when home with the Whippets, instead of the other way around, LOL.

Thanks too, to Debra, who came out to help with the ring handling, even though her dog, Tinky, wasn't entered (Tinky is in season and a show is the last place she needs to be right now, little hussy that she is).

The other bonus about the weekend was the South Islands too top show Photograhers, Jorga Dixon and Linda Phillips, were in attendance and we got some stunning photos of our show team. Thanks to both for their amazing work.
