Team Kitaco had great day in the ring today. Our fabulous Greek boy, Narci (Gr CH, Gr Jnr CH, NZ CH, CACIB, Mystic Legion Narcissus) did us proud today, taking Best in Show at the Dominion Chihuahua Club Open Show. His lovely daughter, Tara (Kitaco's Divine Miss T at Eldivino) took Puppy in Show for both the Open and the Champ Shows, and little Misty (Eldivino Misty Karma at Kitaco) took the Open Junior in Show. Spenny (El-Toro Rey Spencer) took Junior in Show in the Champ Show.
Niki (NZ CH Eldivino Senorita Nikita) showed beautifully, but couldn't get past her nana, in the Champ Show, the inimitable Lily (NZ CH, NZ BISS CR CH El-Toro Destiny) who at the grand old age of 12 took the BIS. Niki took Reserve Bitch in the Champ show and beat her nana to first place, taking the Best Bitch in the Open Show.
Newcomer to our team, Taco (Gemchi Yum Yum Taco), who only arrived in Christchurch 3 days ago and has never shown indoors before, gave it a good try, despite being a bit overwhelmed by the day and all the new people. This little guy is spectacular and we are most encouraged by the judge who told us after the show that had he been a little more confident, the day might have been his.
Nonetheless, we are thrilled for Lily to get her 3rd BISS. She is the grandmother of nearly all our show girls - Niki, FIfi, Tara, Kyrie, Misty, Duchess and Bubbles. So honored to have such a fabulous dog on their pedigree.
