A hot and busy weekend at Mandeville for Team Kitaco with some great results. Highlight of the 1st show was Spencer taking the Intermediate of Group against a great toy lineup, followed by the Best of Breed in the second show. Day 2 saw him take the Reserve of Breed in the very hot conditions where the judge seemed to be struggling with the heat. We were worried there for a while that she was suffering heat stroke, but by the time she'd had a break and came back to judge the group, she was doing much better, and Jaden the Bichon took the well deserved Best of Group.
Young Baroness Bubblegum (Kitaco's Deevyne Inspiration) continues to impress. She's now competed in only 5 shows, but in that time Bubbles has taken 4 Best Bitch CC's, 1 Reserve CC and 4 Reserve of Breeds. She loves the ring, is a joy to show and looks to have a very bright future if her first 5 shows are anything to go by.
And lastly, we have a new Champion in the Kitaco ranks! Dogs NZ approval pending Duchess is now NZ Champion Eldivino Rogue Trader at Kitaco. So proud this sweet little girl has now joined her sisters Misty and Fifi in the Champion ranks. We are just so thrilled with this litter who have all proved to be such wonderful examples of the breed. Great to see Amba, her adoring owner, make up her first Champion, too, a feat that has not been easy as Duchess usually competes against some really stiff competition.
Time for a rest and some well deserved treats.
