What a fabulous weekend for Team Kitaco at the Purina Forrester Park Championship shows in Dunedin.
Our little superstar, 8 month old Ava (Kitaco Smashed Avacado), cleaned up again in the Long Coat Chihuahuas, taking 3 Best Of Breeds, 3 Best Puppy of Breeds and 3 Best Bitch Championship Certificates. She then topped that amazing effort off with the Best Puppy of Group in both Show 1 and Show 3!
It's hard to put into words how proud we are of this stunning little Kitaco-bred pup. Not only is she beautifully constucted, she has the most amazing personality. She is fearless, curious, friendly, full of confidence and completely unfazed by the judges, big dogs or the crowds in the Best of Group or Best in Show lineup. She just loves to show. She is a dream.
Our lovely Russian Toy, Lady (AUS & NZ CH Nightwood Tsarina of Alucard (IMP AUST) co-owned by Tracey Tonkin and Amba Waghorn) also took 3 Best Of Breeds, 3 Best Junior of Breeds and 3 Best Bitch Championship Certificates and then Junior of Group in Show 3.
Somewhat overshadowed by her teammates, little Alice (Kitaco Jappy Jalepeno) took Reserve Best Bitch and NZ Bred of Breed in all 3 shows. She wasn't that interested in showing though, because Alice has her very own fan club who made a special trip out to meet her and were waiting ringside to give her endless cuddles as soon as she was done. Had to just about frisk a couple of people on their way out of the venue to be sure Alice hadn't been kidnapped by one of her dedicated fans!
To top off our Team Kitaco success, Toby (NZ CH El-Toro Tobias at Teddee owned by Amba Waghorn) took 3 Reserve Of Breeds, 3 Intermediate of Breeds and another 3 Best Dog Championship Certificates.
Thanks to the show committee for 3 excellent shows. It was great to catch up with our dog-show friends at the show for a laugh and a gossip. Lord knows there was plenty to chuckle about.
