What a fabulous day for Team Kitaco at the Geraldine County Kennel Association Open Shows.
In what is easily the best results we've ever taken at an All-Breeds show, our dogs dominated the Toy Group in both shows, with Benny (NZ CH El-Toro Rey Spencer at Kitaco) taking Best of Group and Pom, Emma (I Em Ma Duchess of Tribble) taking Reserve Best of Group. in Show 1 followed by Kyrie (NZ CH Kitaco's Valkyrie Warrior) taking Best of Group and her daddy, Narci (GR CH, GR JNR CH,NZ CH, Mystic Legion Narcissus) taking Reserve Best of Group in Show 2.
In show 1 under judge Sam Christoffels, everyone took their class, with Kyrie, Benny and Emma taking Best of Breed in the Long Coats, Smooth Coats and Pomeranians, while Narci, Delilah (NZ CH Maraschino Princess Ala) and Tabitha (Tribble Witch with a Bee) took their respective Reserve Best of Breeds.
In Show 2, under judge Victoria Jaques, Kyrie took Best of Breed in the Long Coats, with Narci taking Reserve Best of Breed, Benny took Best of Breed again with Delilah taking Reserve of Breed in the Smooths and then Emma took Best of Breed in the Poms with Tabitha winning hearts and the Reserve Best of Breed with her bouncy performance and crazy version of walking which involved covering three times as much ground as every other dog.
It was such a fabulous day and so great to see our dogs doing so well. The judges loved them so much Team Kitaco might as well have been the entire Toy Group. Thanks so much to Caroline, too, our ring support person who did such a great job handling the dogs, and congrats to Sam and Victoria in their first official Open Shows. So great to be able to support good judges coming up through the ranks. It was a great show with excellent numbers considering it was quite a way out of town, and so many gorgoeus baby puppies at their first show, including our new favourite, Atlas the Great Dane baby puppy, who managed to be even cuter than Tabitha.
