Flint on Fire in Gore to Celebrate Officially Joining Team Kitaco

Our gorgeous Japanese houseguest led the charge for Team Kitaco in Gore shows this weekend.

Flint (Bramber's Twilight (Imp Japan)) once again demonstrated what a fabulous little fellow he is, taking the Best Dog, Best Intermmediate of Breed and Dog CC in all three shows and then thrilling us all by taking Best Intermmediate of Group in all three shows as well! He also took Best of Breed in Show 2.

Ava (Kitaco Smashed Avacado) worked hard to keep pace with her teammate, taking Best Puppy of Breed in all three shows, Reserve Best Bitch in all three shows and beating out Flint for Reserve Best of Breed in Show 1 and 3 and then finishing up with the Best Puppy in Group for Show 3.

As usual, GDKA ran an amazing weekend of well-organised shows and the weather was delightful. This is why we make it a point never to miss this great weekend of fun and friendship in the deep south.

The big prize this weekend wasn't in the show ring, however. It was the confirmation that Flint is going to be joining us as a fully fledged member of Team Kitaco!

We are beyond excited to add Flint to our breeding program and our home on a permanent basis. Besides being the sweetest dog on Earth (what is it about the black tri-colours?) he is the rare progeny of the amazing INT CH. AM GR CH. CRC CH, FIN CH, PHI CH, SWE CH, THA CH. Bramver's Royal Tuxedo and INT CH. JAP CH, PHI CH, AM CH BRAMVER'S Dance Dance Dance.

As well as his spectacular parentage, Flint's bloodline tracks back to 2014 Westminster winner, INT CH. JAP CH. ENG CH. AM CH. HUN CH. Brilliant Win JP Famous Ambrose, his great-grandfather, who also happens to be Ren and Narci's great-great-grandfather.

To be able to add this diversity to the narrow NZ gene pool, but still retain a link to these amazing champions lines, can only mean good things for Kitaco as we work toward improving the temperament, health, genetic diversity and overall quality of Chihuahuas in NZ.

And he gives excellent cuddles, so there is simply no downside to this news, at all :)
